She was a resident student of La Martiniere Girls College in Lucknow and studied for a a short while at Maria Goretti College in Bareilly.

She completed her class 10th from Boston USA.

She aims to become a software Engineer or a Criminal Psychologist.

She was bulldozed by her friends to take part in the Miss Bareilly contest,which she won easily.

Ever since Priyanka won the coveted Femina India-World 2000 title, she has been keeping herself busy with fashion shows, modelling and even a music video (she features in the video version of Daler Mehndi's latest album).

She has already singed a film, Once Upon A Time opposite Rahul Dev. It is a small budget bi-lingual film in which she plays Dev's love interest

Her hobbies include singing & writing poetry and she has won prizes for Extempore Speech and awards for singing and dancing.

On her Preparations for Miss World pageant starting on November 30, 2000  

With the countdown already begun for the Miss World pageant. Priyanka is  all geared up for the litmus test.

She has stopped doing anything else to concentrate on the Miss World Contest as she aware that she will be shouldering plenty of responsibility when she participates in the pageant.

Weight not being a problem for her she eats, what she normally likes. However she does make it a point to eat healthy food and workout daily.

On the odds are against her?

She does not think that the odds are against her for the Miss World pageant, as she feels that everything is different each time --- the locale, the audience, the contestants and even the judges. In fact, she states that Venezuela has, in the past, won the Miss World title three years in a row.
