When I talk about physical fitness, I'm not referring to thin people. Just because a person is thin doesn't mean that they're in shape. I'm talking about someone that exercises all areas of their mind and body on a regular basis, excels to push themselves constantly further beyond their limits, maintains their ideal body weight and maintains a strict diet regime. Does this sound tough to you? Well, that's because it is tough. Nothing in your life will get handed to you on a silver platter and physical fitness is no different. You must really want it for yourself and then you must earn it and maintain it.
The first step to beginning a physical fitness program is to see your doctor. Get a complete physical and make absolutely certain that you are healthy enough to begin an exercise program. If you pass your physical then you need to see a nutritionist and begin a healthy diet. I'm not saying that you must change everything you do 100% overnight, but you need to begin walking toward that goal by learning the difference between good food and bad. After you've learned the difference between these, you can then begin running toward your long term physical fitness goals.
