Two Florida based fitness professionals are challenging Michael Moore to become a walking, talking billboard for preventive health care. While they would have loved for his latest film SiCKO to address the issue, both Jim Labadie and Ryan Lee think their email campaign can bring to light the value of avoiding the "sick care" industry altogether. "We want to keep this as positive a message as possible," Labadie was quoted as saying. "We're fully aware people tend to love him or hate him. That's why we don't want to condone or condemn him."
The goal of the challenge is to educate the public they can help reduce health care costs by taking better care of themselves. Billions of dollars are spent each year on obesity related health care costs.
Lee added, "From what we understand Mr. Moore has already made some positive changes in his life and has lost weight. As we mentioned on the website, we don't know his personal health history, but we do know he can become a great role model for others to follow."
Labadie and Lee have created a website called http://MichaelMooreHealthChallenge.com with more details about the challenge. It includes the email address to write to and even includes a form email the public can easily send.
