I was searching the Internet for a natural treatment for sinus infection when I found that many people use nasal irrigation to ease the problem. They so irrigation is not something new at all, and many people use it not only to ward off sinus infections but also to clear their nasal passages so that they may breathe deeper. The process is otherwise known as Neti, and it takes just a little bit of getting used to, but once you are used to it it is not only easy to do but it is somewhat pleasurable. The process is typically done with the use of a Neti pot, although some people simply use water that is kept in their hands. You take a solution of lukewarm water and sea salt and pour it through one of your nostrils, allowing it to drain out the other nostril. This has the effect of clearing your nasal passages, which actually extend far up into the forehead, and clearing out anything that has been up there for quite some time. It also helps to keep your nasal passages moist.
