Excessive Sweating - Causes And Solutions

Excessive sweating is both an uncomfortable and potentially embarrassing problem which 2-3% of the population suffer from.

While the causes of excessive sweating aren’t completely understood, its thought to be linked with a disorder of the nervous system.

One of the biggest problems with excessive sweating isn’t actually the sweating itself, but the effect it has on the social life of a sufferer. For example, someone who suffers from excessive sweating may have to avoid certain situations that can make their symptoms worse. Some of these situations can be stressful or very warm places which makes it uncomfortable and embarrassing for the sufferer.

But what can be done to cure or at least reduce excessive sweating?

There’s a few tips that have proven to be useful for people who suffer from excessive sweating. Some of these tips include wearing darker clothing (because it makes sweat harder to see), and making sure you have spare clothing (particularly shirts) to change into if you need to.

One thing you should try to avoid doing is limiting your intake of liquids. Many sufferers mistakenly think this will cause them to sweat less, but all it actually does it cause you to become dehydrated – which only compounds your health problems.

Another solution that alleviates the symptoms of excessive sweating is the use of special anti-perspirant – especially those which contain a chemical called aluminium chloride. This has been known to reduce sweating for many sufferers.

If you’re a sufferer of excessive sweating and you feel it has become a significant problem, then it a good idea to see a doctor – they may have special anti-persipirants and other treatments that can help you considerably.

In conclusion, excessive sweating is a growing problem that effects a significant portion society. It can be uncomfortable and embarrassing, but thankfully there are several options available that alleviate or even cure the symptoms of excessive sweating.
