Most people who suffer from sweating hands are afraid to admit that they have the problem because they are afraid they might create the impression that their sweaty hands are not clean. There can be many reasons for sweating hands, and it is not easy to determine the exact cause for each person. The main reason for sweating hands seems to be hereditary, but you can also get this condition from bad habits.
Eating excess of some types of foods can increase your tendency to sweat, like alcohol, spicy food and caffeine. Some types of soap can actually increase your hands tendency to sweat, because they might kill the “good” bacteria that are supposed to keep other bacteria at bay.
If you are suffering from sweating hands, the first thing you should do is to learn some relaxation techniques. If you feel that you are sweating excessively due to stress, try learning relaxing breathing methods or meditation and yoga to reduce your stress levels. Try to take frequent walks in between stressful situations, and learn deep breathing to control your stress level.
If your sweating hands are caused hereditarily, and reducing your stress levels is not helping, then you might need to try more expensive methods. These methods include surgery, iontophoesis or botox. I personally do not like these methods though, as they are expensive and have never worked for me.
Instead, I have used natural remedies to treat my sweating hands. This involves using readily available products at home that are applied every morning and night. I also changed my diets to avoid food that will worsen my excess perspiration, and instead choose diets that contain food to reduce hand sweating.
