Excessive sweating can have two general forms. The first form is known as primary hyperhidrosis. This condition is caused by an overactive nervous system, which is usually caused by one's genetics. The nervous system sends too many signals to the sweat glands, causing the sweat glands to secrete too much sweat. The other form is secondary hyperhidrosis. This condition is caused by another underlying condition, which could be an infection, a disease (like diabetes), an imbalance of hormones (resulting from menopause or prostate cancer), or a thyroid illness.
The most common form of treatment for excessive sweating is to use antiperspirants. I feel that antiperspirants, or deodorants, actually do very little good for the condition. Instead of getting rid of the causes of excessive sweating, it is hiding the symptoms. Sooner or later, the real problem will show itself again, and then you'll have to buy more deodorant and antiperspirants. You may want to try the method that I have used to control excessive sweating. It is a natural method that involves using readily available products at home that are applied every morning and night. You can also find out more about this method by following the link below.
Excessive sweating should be treated early. If left untreated, it could lead to other more complex health problems.
