Elaine Corvidae's novel "The Crow Queen" is among the finalists for the 2005 EPPIE Award for Best Fantasy Novel. Considered "the Oscar of e-publishing," the EPPIE is awarded annually by Electronically Published Internet Connection (EPIC). The award recognizes excellence in books published in electronic format during the previous year.
"I was shocked when I heard the results," said author Corvidae. "Because 'The Crow Queen' is the middle book in a trilogy, I wasn't certain how it would be received by the judges. Competition in the fantasy category was stiff this year, and I'm very honored to be among the finalists."
"The Crow Queen" is the follow-up to fan-favorite "Wolfkin." "The Crow Queen" continues the adventures of the werewolf hero, Yozerf, who has the added complication of a ghost haunting him from within his own mind. The third book in the trilogy, "Dragon's Son," was released in November.
"The Crow Queen," published by Mundania Press, LLC (http://www.mundania.com), is available in international distribution in hardcover, trade paperback, and ebook.
Winners of the 2005 EPPIE Awards will be announced March 12, 2005, at the EPIC awards gala aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.
