Wiseguy Films Goes Global

Wiseguy Films officially launched its flash website Monday afternoon during a small celebration which included staff, media, and industry executives. Attendees were permitted to navigate the new domain on huge screens which lined the walls of the room.
The site, www.wiseguy-films.com, includes movie trailers, an online apparel store, and a link for writers and producers to submit their projects. Visitors to the site can also be kept abreast of the company’s activity by reading the “latest news” section of the site, which includes a “Win a Movie Role” contest. Wiseguy’s Co-C.E.O., Rudy LeFranc explained “It’s about time that the world sees what we’re really about and where we’re headed in the future.” Travis Johnson, VP of Development, added “The new site opens us up and allows us to begin real relationships with the people that watch our films, and that’s always a great thing.” Those in attendance seemed to be most intrigued with the trailer for the urban mini-series “Hate the Game” (aka “Final City”), which was distributed by Silver Nitrate Entertainment and is now available in stores on DVD. The company’s Chairman, Bert Wynn, wrapped up the afternoon by stating “members of our online team (Team Wiseguy) will find themselves open to a wide selection of special offers and opportunities. Wiseguy Films was formed in 2002. and is responsible for the production of feature films as well as their soundtracks. The co-owners, Travis Johnson and Rudy LeFranc, are often referred to as “The Wiseguys”. The two men started Wiseguy Films with the intent of exposing and promoting new talent (actors, directors, writers) while creating thought-provoking films. The team has produced three films (“Ice Grill(York/Maverick Ent.), “Hate the Game”(Silver Nitrate Ent.),” Burn”) and has three projects currently in development. In addition to developing & producing films, Wiseguy Films provides services ranging from editing to artist management.
