ZRC Worldwide Introduces Environmentally Friendly Anti-Corrosion Coating
Publish Date : 12/11/2004 6:59:00 PM Source : Animals and Nature News Onlypunjab.com
ZRC Worldwide, the world’s leading manufacturer of zinc rich anti-corrosion coating products, has introduced ZRC-250, a low-VOC coating product. ZRC-250 retains the proven corrosion protection properties of the company’s flagship ZRC Cold Galvanizing Compound, but contains an industry-leading low level of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Product highlights of ZRC-250 include: • Contains only 221 grams/liter of VOCs – an industry low • Single component product – no mixing required • Requires minimal surface preparation • Convenient one-coat system • Heat resistant up to 750°F • Meets VOC standards in all 50 states and Military specs
“ZRC-250 gives our customers an option in situations where VOC standards preclude the use of our original formulation,” according to Matthew R. Steele, president of ZRC Worldwide. “Laboratory and field testing have shown that ZRC-250 provides the same level of protection, but at significantly lower VOC levels. It is a very environmentally respectful product.”
VOCs are produced from the reducing solvents used in zinc rich paints and coatings (as well as many other sources) and are highly regulated by both the U.S. Government and individual state environmental protection statutes. ZRC-250 meets current environmental standards in all of the 50 states.
ZRC-250 is available through ZRC Worldwide’s network of distributors in the United States and around the world. For information on distributor locations, contact ZRC Worldwide at (800) 831-3275 (outside the U.S., please call (781) 319-0400) or e-mail at e-mail protected from spam bots.
