ADVENTIS Corp., a leading strategy consulting firm, today announced that Dr. Raul Katz has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Katz will take over responsibilities from Andy Belt, a founder of ADVENTIS, who has been serving as acting President. Mr. Belt will continue to serve in a leadership role within ADVENTIS. The new executive appointment is effective immediately.
As an internationally recognized consultant to the telecommunications industry, Dr. Katz brings more than 20 years of business development, marketing, thought leadership and management leadership to ADVENTIS. Dr. Katz participates regularly as a keynote speaker at major industry conferences worldwide and his views are widely quoted in both specialized and general publications.

Prior to his appointment at ADVENTIS, Katz was a Lead Partner and Vice President at Booz-Allen Hamilton, where he recently directed the US Telecommunications practice. During his extensive career at BAH, Katz held a number of senior management positions, among them Director of Operations for the US Region and Leader of the Latin American Telecommunications Practice.
Dr. Katz has been actively involved in various industry research initiatives, such as the "Remedies for the Telecommunications Industry" program at Columbia Business School where he led the Managerial Strategies forum. He is also a member of MIT's Visiting Committee for Sponsored Research, Fletcher's Hitachi Center for Technology and Business, and the Universidad de San Andres' Advisory Board. A noted author, his most recent book is "Creative Destruction: Business Survival Strategies in the Global Internet Economy" co-edited with Lee W. McKnight and Paul M. Vaaler. Katz has two Masters degrees from University of Paris, Sorbonne in Political Science and Communication Sciences, an MS in Political Science and a PhD. in Management Science and Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
