Agrotech-2004 - reputedly the biggest agriculture and technology show in India - will focus on agri-services this year.
A Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) spokesman said the four-day fair, which begins here Friday, would showcase the cutting edge services available in agriculture and related areas.
This would include demonstration of future and commodity trading, Internet transactions and finance and insurance options.
Pakistani Punjab's Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, his Indian counterpart Amarinder Singh, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Pakistan Poultry Association Chairman Khalil Sattar and the Italian Agriculture Minister Paolo Scarpa Bonazza Buora would participate in the event.
Experts from the US, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Canada, Germany, Nepal, Sweden, Switzerland and Thailand were also expected to visit the fair.
Six exhibitions and nine conferences would be held during the fair. Central Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar is to inaugurate the event.
