Henry Wendt, III, Chairman of Computerized Medical Systems, Inc. ("CMS") announced today the election of Andrew C. Cowen, a member of the company's Board of Directors for the past seven years, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Cowen succeeds Douglas M. Sprague, who will continue to serve the company as an advisor to Mr. Cowen.
Mr. Cowen has served for the past twelve years as an executive of Brown Brothers Harriman, most recently as a Senior Vice President in its private equity investment group, with primary responsibility for Brown Brothers' life sciences investments. He is a Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude graduate of Bowdoin College, and earned his MBA with distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
