Colarossi Spa & Health Club Consulting & Management has been retained by WCI to help prepare for the opening of the new luxurious Spa & Health Club at The Resort at Singer Island, Florida. Responsibilities include the initial consult, spa program development, design, layout, and equipment selection, to name a few.
According to a press release issued 8/2/04 on www.wcicommunities.com, ”WCI Communities, Inc. (NYSE:WCI), named America's Best Builder 2004 by the National Association of Home Builders and Builder Magazine, announced today that Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) will operate the 239-unit resort-hotel component at The Resort at Singer Island, the 305-unit oceanfront WCI community which breaks ground this week. The hotel will be part of Starwood's exclusive Luxury Collection.” The release then goes on to say that “As a Luxury Collection destination, The Resort at Singer Island plans to offer a spectacular array of amenities. Butler service, valet attendants, and a full-time concierge will enrich guest experiences and activities including coordination of private events, theater tickets, dinner reservations and travel. Dining options include an alfresco ambiance at the oceanside eatery or the convenience of room service, or special events catered within the resort's stunning entertainment veranda - and a temperature controlled wine room to store wine collections.” One of the prime amenities will be the premier luxury spa. Colarossi was selected because of his reputation in luxury spa operations and his attention to detail.
This is not the only time that Mr. Colarossi has been called upon by prestigious property owners to develop a health club and spa facilities. He has also performed such services for Four Seasons Hotels, The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Starwood Hotels, Hilton International, and others.
