India's National Security Advisor J.N. Dixit and his Pakistani counterpart Tariq Aziz are likely to meet in a third country this month to take forward the dialogue between the two sides, Online news agency reports.
Official sources told the agency Thursday that during the meeting, to be held in the third week of December, the two officials would review various options to enable both countries to move towards resolving substantive issues, including the Kashmir dispute.
Nuclear and conventional confidence building measures and a proposal to start bus service connecting Srinagar and Muzaffarabad in the divided parts of Kashmir would be on the agenda of the meeting.
The talks are expected to enable the two countries to reach an agreement on travel documents to be used for the bus service, the sources said.
Aziz and Dixit are also expected to discuss another bus service connecting Sialkot in Pakistan and Jammu in India's Jammu and Kashmir state.
The sources said modalities for the meeting were being worked out.
Like their past meetings, Aziz and Dixit would meet in neutral territory, they said.
Dixit and Aziz have been actively involved in back-channel diplomacy to take forward the dialogue between the two countries.
