Wayne Buller whose goal was to provide quality buildings at a reasonable price to small and medium builders founded Sentinel Buildings in 1987. A year later, with the business growing, Mr. Buller decided to create his own private label, calling it Sentinel Building Systems. Originally a component and buy-out building, Sentinel made the move to engineering, fabrication, and inventory in 1993.

Sentinel moved into its current manufacturing plant in August 1997. Building number 2000 was sold in August 1999. In June 2000, Sentinel was officially sold to Global Industries, Inc. of Grand Island, Nebraska.

Sentinel plan to complete their 15-user implementation of Encompix software during first quarter 2005.

Harry Major Machine (HMM), located in Clinton Township, Michigan, recently licensed Encompix ETO ERP software. Named after its founder, Harry Major Machine started operations 1962. The company has grown with worldwide revenues of $40 million and 130 employees in the United States and United Kingdom.

Operating out of a modern 100,000 square foot facility, HMM engineers, designs, assembles, and installs conveyor systems and industrial washers for the big three automotive companies. HMM are aiming for a January 1, 2005 “go live” date and are looking forward to enjoying the benefits of managing projects with a budget, engineering BOM Integration, actual job costing, and streamlined materials management.

Lindquist Machine Corporation, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, builds custom machines for U.S. and international customers. For over 50 years LMC has been solving customers' problems in industries such as food, printing, paper, film, construction, and power tools. Unlike many other ETO companies LMC does not always design its products. Their primary focus is to partner with their customers to build custom machines to their customers' designs. LMC fills a need in the marketplace where companies do not have the capability or capacity to build their own machines.

In January 2000 Lindquist Machine Corporation (LMC) began a journey to adopt Lean Principles. After deriving significant benefits from adopting Lean, LMC is now looking to further improve its operations by partnering with Encompix.
