GLO Nightclub in Chelsea will mark its premiere during the first week of December 2004. GLO, an 11,000 square foot bi-level nightclub is poised to be the new destination of choice amongst New York’s nightlife denizens.

The invitation only VIP opening on Tuesday November 30th will feature a guest-list of socialites, celebrities, fashionistas, and New York nightlife legends. DJ AM will spin late into the evening.

Brett Spero, Mark Baker Productions, and CI5 Inc. are acting as consultants for GLO.

In the coming weeks, GLO will be the setting for many corporate holiday parties as well as host to many celebrity events and performances from Wyclef Jean, Roberta Flack, Samantha Ronson and her band, and more! DJ’s lined up include Samantha Ronson, JusSke, and DJ AM.

The vision of nightlife veteran John N. Smythe, GLO is an 11,000 square foot nightclub/event facility on the cusp of the Meatpacking District. It is bi-level and can accommodate 800 people. Three (3) full service bars on two levels, a 2,400 square foot dance floor, state of the art sound system, and contemporary décor, make this one of the most exciting venues to open in Manhattan in quite some time. A cabaret license permits dancing anywhere in the venue. There is a supplementary 4,000 square feet of raw space adjacent to the venue that can accommodate an additional 400 people. The upper level VIP area overlooks the entire club and the DJ booth features it’s own bar and bathrooms. “I wanted to create an environment that took nothing for granted, and put in a few surprises”, says Smythe.

GLO is located at 431 West 16th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues.
