With continuing growth in its remote monitoring and medical information services, Alere(R) Medical Incorporated today announced the appointment of Pei Tang as Vice President of Health Informatics and Outcomes.
Ms. Tang comes to Alere Medical from CorSolutions Inc., where she was Vice President of Health Informatics and Outcomes Management. She has more than 10 years of experience in health care information analysis, quality measurement and performance reporting, with a strong background in research methodology, statistical analysis and database management.
Previously, Ms. Tang was lead consultant for a large national home health network, where she established the national outcomes assessment database, conducted comprehensive clinical and utilization outcomes analyses, and designed and implemented the quarterly and annual outcomes reporting system. Prior to that, she worked closely with more than 50 Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans nationwide on quality measurement, performance reporting and system-wide benchmarking initiatives.
Ms. Tang also has extensive knowledge of outcomes management, serving as a member on the CMS Health Outcomes Study Committee from 1998-2000, as well as on the NCQA Committee on Performance Measurement (CPM) from 1998-1999. She currently serves as a member on the Quality and Research Committee of DMAA.
At Alere Medical, Ms. Tang will oversee the company's medical analytics, outcomes management and performance reporting activities.
