Inamed Corporation (Nasdaq:IMDC), a global health care company, today announced senior staff appointments for its Research and Development and its Regulatory Affairs departments. Cary Reich, PhD, has joined the company as the director of the restructured Research and Development department. The R&D department has been consolidated under the direction of Dr. Patricia Walker, Chief Science Officer. Dr. Reich most recently served as President of Calhoun Vision and, prior to that position, served as Vice President of Fusion Medical Technologies and as Vice President of R&D with Chiron Vision Corporation.
"Dr. Reich brings with him a wealth of knowledge and 25 years of experience in the development and commercialization of medical devices and pharmaceuticals. "We have restructured our research and development activities to establish a more intensive scientific infrastructure which supports our investment in and development of our product pipeline."
Additionally, Deepak Chadha has been appointed as a Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs. "Deepak is a regulatory affairs professional with the ability to manage complex submissions and projects," added Teti. "He is well versed in developing preclinical and clinical content for commercial products into formal submissions to domestic and international regulatory authorities. Today's announcements reflect our continued emphasis on investment in our product development portfolio."
Before joining Inamed, Mr. Chadha was employed at Biomeasure Incorporated as a Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs.
