KidCrazy.biz opens Internet retail shop after 11 years in Preston Center. After closing its doors and opening online as KidCrazy.biz, their focus will be children's pajamas, layettes and the Genie Wrap.

Most anyone with a child under the age of 10 has heard of the Diaper Genie, the innovative but plain white diaper pail that that stores dirty diapers and controls odor.

KidCrazy.biz developed the Genie Wrap to cover the Diaper Genie and decorate the baby room or nursery. KidCrazy.biz manufactures this product to wrap around the main compartment of the Diaper Genie. Currently KidCrazy.biz is manufacturing four designs for boys and girls rooms to decorate the baby's room in bright colors, fun illustrations and motifs kids will enjoy.

KidCrazy.biz was started by five entrepreneurs who are crazy about kids. The most notable is Jessica Kramer, owner of Kids Next Door in Preston Center and Swimmers by Jessica. Jessica has been involved with children all her life, having three sisters and a father, Dr. Bob Kramer , who is retired pediatrician. Other partners include two marketing executives, Will Morgan and Jay Lohmann, who specialize in advertising, design and search engine optimization, a former children's wear representative and sister, Dallas attorney Megan Kramer. After closing of Kids Next Door in Preston Center, Jessica and the would-be shareholders formed the Internet retail showroom, KidCrazy.biz that will feature Jessica's best selling clothes such as children's pajamas by At Home, PJ Salvage, Sara's Prints and Skivvy Doodles. KidCrazy.biz will also feature the Genie Wrap which they manufacture here in Dallas.

It is easy to see why they invented the Genie Wrap for the Diaper Genie. “Most mothers spend a lot of time choosing the colors and materials and decorating their baby's room. We felt this was a great opportunity to take a very useful product like the Diaper Genie and add fashion to the function.” says Jessica Kramer. After several prototypes, KidCrazy.biz now has four patterns with more being designed early 2005. “The response has been incredible and we've been asked to manufacture similar designs for the rest of the diaper pail market”

Currently Diaper Genie has the bulk of the business in the diaper pail marketplace. However there are several other pails that are gaining ground and KidCrazy.biz has future designs for these pails. “Customers should check back about every two weeks for new products and new designs. We will also be linking up with several great companies to offer products we feel are helpful and well…just plain cool.” says partner and freelance copywriter Jay Lohmann.

From the response of a lot of new mothers, it looks like their goals are apt to be met. As mother put it “...that's just a stinking cute idea!”
