Landmark Master Builder Announces Online Home Buying Tool to Redefine the New Home Buying Experience for It’s Customers

Traditional builder websites have only offered scant information on a builder and it’s products. Often, builders show vague, generic or outdated information on their sites. The new Landmark website blurs the distinction between company showcase and online buying tool to allow it’s customers to get an in-depth look at the company, and specific aspects of it’s product offerings – before a customer even goes into a showhome.

Customers can view the maps, and drill down to see pricing of the lot, it’s current status, and the site can also suggest houses that are appropriate to build on that lot. Customers can then save the lot information to an online portfolio that they can refer to at any point in time, and that information is updated in real time so it’s always accurate. In addition, a customer can view extensive model information, including pricing, and the site will suggest appropriate lots for the model, and show the customer, graphically, where the lot is. Again, the customer can save his favorite models to the same portfolio for instant reference later on. This way of presenting information to our customers is a fundamental advance in the way that people look for new homes. We feel that this presentation method is unique among builders in North America”
When asked about his favorite feature, Barkway said: “Without a doubt, it’s the cell phone directions. A customer can drill down to a specific community in the comfort of their home, and if they choose to visit the community, they can enter their cell phone number, and directions to the showhome are sent via SMS (Short Message Service) to the customer’s cell phone. This way, a customer can go to the site, find the showhomes they want to visit, and send the driving directions to their cell phone for instant, mobile reference. This feature addresses our single most asked question: ‘How do I get to a particular showhome?’” The feature works with all North American cell phone providers, including Telus, Bell, Fido, Rogers, Cingular and Verizon
