The nightclub event serves as one basis for the filming of a new reality show that is in development. Film crews will follow the lives of MTV’s Real World, Road Rules, and other reality show cast members during and after the airing of their MTV shows, capturing what is ‘the really real world’. “The goal we are achieving here is showing what happens to these accidental stars in what is the actual real world after their MTV shows film. When they do not live in a plush home provided by MTV; when they do have to pay their own bills by doing ‘club gigs’; when they go back home to live in their old neighborhoods; what happens when they move to Los Angeles to embark on an acting career. We guarantee the footage we have and will continue to get will be much more entertaining, emotional, and provocative then the content of the shows (on MTV) that gave birth to these interesting young people’s careers,” says Jeff French, Executive Producer.

Boston will be a primary setting for the show, where the producers of the yet-to-be-titled TV show will promote a weekly, Friday Night event themed ‘Reality Bites’. Featured cast members who've been featured the past two weeks were Boston’s own Randy Barry from ‘Real World-San Diego’ & ‘Road Rules/Real World Fantasy Challenge’ (Mondays on MTV 10pm), Charlestown’s own David Burns from ‘Real World-Seattle,’ ‘RR/RW The Inferno’, ‘RR/RW Battle of the Sexes’ and ‘RR/RW’The Gauntlet’, Leah Gillingwater from ‘Real World-Paris’ & ‘Road Rules/Real World Inferno,’ and Tonya Cooley from ‘Real World-Chicago’ and ‘RR/RW Fantasy Challenge’. The public is invited and encouraged to attend for a small admission fee. There will also be guest DJ’s and celebrity performers each week. Musical guests have been rappers Akinyele and Boston’s own Made Men.
