A picture of Chief Minister Rabri Devi along with the achievements of her government will soon adorn thousands of postcards to be mailed to people across Bihar.
With assembly elections due in February next year, the state government seems to have decided to flaunt its achievements like social justice, communal harmony and developmental works though postcards.
"The postcard, with an attractive picture of Rabri Devi along with the important achievements of her government, would be sent to families across the state by the end of this year," a source in the government said.
Bihar Minister of State for Information and Public Relations S. Rajak said the government had approved the purchase of postcards worth Rs.1.33 million to propagate its achievements.
Rajak said: "The postal department has agreed to print 700,000 special postcards for the state government. Each postcard will cost Rs.2."
But he denied it had anything to do with the upcoming assembly elections.
