After conquering the world of morning radio, Luis Jimenez is ready for his close-up as he brings his hit show "El Vacilon De La Manana" to the big screen. "El Vacilon - The Movie" is scheduled for release in February 2005.
With a script written by Jimenez himself, "El Vacilon-The Movie" will follow plenty of the show's familiar characters, both real and fictional, as they live out funny off-the-wall adventures often inspired by caller testimonies heard on the air.
"I find it fascinating that people wake up and share with us the most amazing stories I've ever heard" says Jimenez. "Our audience is not just a part of our show, they're part of our family. Now they'll be able to see some of the stories they heard on the air played out on the big screen as well as some crazy hardcore comedy right out of our naughty minds!"
In addition to the talented cast of El Vacilon regulars, there are several celebrity cameo appearances. The film directed by Agustin of Baby Legs Entertainment will be also handling the production.
"El Vacilon-The Movie" was shot in New York, The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. It is scheduled for a limited release in 50 theatres. "El Vacilon-The Movie" will later be available on DVD.
