The Red Theatre Takes the Lead in the Performing Arts Arena

Having gained rich experience, and wide appreciation in its field CHC are now coming to Beijing to create a new fashion in the performing arts market for China with the introduction of its latest production ‘The Legend of Kung Fu’, the total investment by CHC has been over $1m with this investment, CHC has created the ‘The Legend of Kung Fu’, – a large scale permanent show, which has been designed with a six year run in mind, from now on this new show with its brilliant Kung Fu performers, excellent dancers and acrobats will be performed daily at 7.30 at the Red Theatre Beijing.
The Red Theatre is at 44 Xing Fu Da Jie, Chongwen District Beijing, formally known as The Chongwen Workers Cultural Palace, CHC has invested heavily in the refurbishment of the theatre which now gives the audience a richer and more comfortable viewing experience. CHC has used more than 80tonnes of steel to create a new facade for the theatre, which makes the theatre, from inside out, more exciting and fresh, in order to meet international standards CHC has imported the latest sound and lighting equipment to make the Red Theatre a first class venue, and uses the latest theatrical techniques to make this extravaganza a must see show, which will leave the audience with a unique and unforgettable impression. The characteristics CHC has used in producing ‘The Legend of Kung Fu’ are - large investment, high production values, and a high ROI.

In creating the show CHC has brought together the best creative talent from around China, such as Su Shi Jin the famous Chinese Director, who was invited to direct the show, CHC has employed international standards in the music, stage design, costume and performers. Before the grand opening on the December 3rd the show has been through an extensive preview period in order to iron out all the wrinkles and teething problems a new show like this can encounter.

The show tells the story of a little monk who begins a long and arduous journey to enlightenment, through practicing Zen Buddhism and Kung Fu the little monk eventually grows and reaches his sacred goal, the message the show intends to give is that we all have to overcome personal hardships to reach our stated goals. Apart from the real Kung Fu the show has fused modern dance and acrobatics and has the feel of a Las Vegas production.

The show has already started to create a stir in the international performing arts market, there has been much interest from North America, Canada and Europe in taking this show on tour, CHC has started to put together three more troupes to tour this show.

As one visitor, the Deputy Irish Ambassador to Ireland said, “this show is more energetic than Riverdance” and a Greek visitor felt it was like “food for the soul”
