Travel About Bali was launched on November 3rd 2004, we are an Australian company based in Perth conducting unique tours on the Island of Bali, Indonesia. We saw a gap in the market for tours to the rural areas and also tours that combined sightseeing, culture, shopping and authentic Balinese cuisine.
Our drivers Wayan Sueta and his cousin Gusti are from the small village of Taman on the west side of the sacred Ayung River in Ubud. Many of the tours that we offer take you into these small villages were you can see the day to day life of the Balinese people and how much tradition is still very much a part of their lives. Wayan has lived his whole life in Taman and is very knowledgeable of this mountain region, agricultural practices, history and culture.
At Travel About Bali Tours we aim to show you the hidden Bali away from the usual crowed tourist spots, our tours are for a minimum of two people to a maximum of four people per air conditioned four wheel drive vehicle. The advantage of this style of tour is that you can stay for the length of time that suits you at each of the stops and vary the itinerary to suit your particular interests.
The River Valley Walk and the Fruits of Bali Tour involve either a trek or gentle walk, depending on your level of fitness, along the banks of the Ayung River and though the rice paddies and farms were you can buy fresh fruit direct from the farmers and sit down to a Balinese lunch in a family compound.
Beauty Birds and Bargains combines the natural beauty of the Ayung river valley, lunch, a visit to the Bali Bird Park and shopping in Denpasar, it is an ideal tour for people with limited time in which to explore some of the island's highlights.
Other combinations include Scenery, Sunset, and Seafood Twilight Tour that takes you from the sandy beaches of Sanur to the cliffs of Uluwatu and then to the shores of Jimbaran Bay for a seafood dinner.
The Mountains, Butterflies and Gardens Tour highlights include the Butterfly park, Pura Ulun Danu Botanical gardens, lunch at the twin lakes, Jatiluwih Village the spice and flower market and a visit to the Ulun Danu temple at lake Bedugul. For those who prefer to cycle we also offer either morning or afternoon cycling tours along the quiet flat roads of the Bonakasa and Gunug villages.
Tours may be booked online from anywhere in the world using our fully secure online credit card payment facility. Private charters, coach and mini bus tours can also be arranged.
