WPEB-FM 88.1 Community Radio will air a new innovative and interactive weekly talk show beginning Friday, December 3rd called 'Round Midnite with kwami k. kwami. 'Round Midnite with kwami k. kwami is produced by imagine-a-nation edutainment media and hosted by syndicated radio veteran kwami k. kwami (The Chameleon). This show will air from 11 p.m. until 2 a.m. EST.
Round Midnite with kwami k. kwami approaches, evaluates, and transcends the concrete, physical, geographic, spiritual, intellectual, political and metaphysical boundaries that people create--or allow to be created--for themselves.
The show was created by independent media veteran kwami k. kwami (The Chameleon), 34, a self-published author, a freelance writer, and a spoken word artist, who teaches math and computer science at Lotus Academy in Germantown. He has been a radio and television personality since 1990 in Little Rock, AR; Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; and Virginia Beach, VA.
'Round Midnite with kwami k. kwami marks the end of a 4-year hiatus from the radio airwaves that began in 2000 when he retired from his most successful media venture to date, the internationally-syndicated and award-winning PHaT LiP! 4.2 & PHAT LIP! YouthTalk Radio franchises.
"My goal is to deliver some of the most enlightening and edutaining dialogue available in the Delaware Valley," says The Chameleon, "there will be discussions that ecologically connect the person and the family to the community; the city, the state and the region to the nation; and the continent, the hemisphere, and the globe to the galaxy."
The Chameleon has tapped Philadelphia public relations specialist Shannon Moore to be his co-host. As a student at Temple University, Shannon co-founded and managed the former student radio station WHIP-FM 91.7 in 1997, before working in production at WRTI-FM 90.1 and as an intern at KYW-TV 3. Shannon also did public relations for Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell. She currently is a host on the television show "Wild About Philly" on WYBE-TV 35.
Served on a bed of trip hop, acid jazz and Philly soul, 'Round Midnite with kwami k. kwami will not only be broadcast on WPEB-FM 88.1. It will also be webcast on the WPEB-FM website at www.wpebfm.org. Additionally, it will be rebroadcast throughout Europe, Asia, and northern Africa via the Shortwave Relay Service.
"The goal of the show is to challenge listeners to become radio-active so they can wake up, get up, clean up, read up, stand up, speak up, and live up to their innate potentials. Anyone can listen. Everyone should listen," added The Chameleon.
'Round Midnite with kwami k. kwami will debut on Dec, 3rd & 10th with a two-part interview with Sophia Stewart, the author of the science fiction novel "In the Third Eye" upon which the Terminator and Matrix trilogies are based. She is currently in a legal battle with the producers, directors and distributors of these motion pictures to recover damages and royalties for copyright infringement, as they were made without her permission.
This series will be followed by an interview with Raymond Francis, M.Sc., author of "Never Be Sick Again: Health is a Choice, Learn How to Choose It" on Dec 17th; a discussion entitled "The Truth about Christmas" on Dec 24th; and a discussion entitled "Susu Economics & Our Common-unity" on Dec. 31st.
