Pawleys Plantation To Host Cooking Demonstrations With Food Network Personality Sandra Lee

Pawleys Plantation, in Pawleys Island, S.C., will be offering half and full day package options on Saturday, September 30, 2006, during the “South Carolina Good Living Getaway Weekend with Sandra Lee.” Locals now have an opportunity to take part in this nationally recognized event.
Food Network personality Sandra Lee is the author of several cookbooks and entertaining guides. A popular lifestyle professional and author with a devoted following worldwide, Sandra Lee is host of “Semi-Homemade Cooking With Sandra Lee.” Her approach to cooking and home decorating offers savvy shortcuts and down-to-earth secrets for creating a beautiful, affordable and most of all, doable life. Her first book, Semi-Homemade Cooking (Miramax Books, 2002), is a New York Times national bestseller.

The half-day package features a cooking demonstration by Sandra Lee, from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by cooking school break out sessions with local chefs and floral design demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. A gourmet lunch will then be provided from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participants will also receive a gift bag.

The full day package features all the amenities of the half-day package, as well as a Plantation style buffet breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and cocktails and dinner (including after dinner cordials and desserts) from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Space is limited. Participation in the event is $125 per person for the half-day package and $195 per person for the full day package. Tickets are required and can be purchased by calling 843-237-6100.
