InfoValue and ExtreamTV Partner to Provide VOD to Hotel and Time-Share Market

InfoValue Computing, Inc. A combined InfoValue SuiteTV™ and ETV solution has already been deployed at the Hotel Royal Plaza in Orlando, Fla.

ETV uses InfoValue SuiteTV Version 3.0 primarily for its IP-based entertainment services, which allow ETV to provide such products as Internet on the television, movies, concerts, and classic TV on demand. Classic TV on demand, a special option for guests, includes reruns of old series such as "I Love Lucy" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show." ETV contracts with telecommunications providers to provide T-1 lines for broadband access. The high-speed Internet-access solution is available as wired, wireless, or on the TV via a wireless keyboard.

The SuiteTV solution is a comprehensive platform for in-room entertainment delivered over IP networks. All of the streaming-video content is routed through SuiteTV’s high-performance VOD server, a space-efficient, easy-to-manage system stored on the hotel or time-share’s premises. Based on a modular, open architecture, it enables video-on-demand and multicasting, IPTV, networked personal video recording (nPVR), and time-shifted TV.
