MyFax Introduces Latest Enhancement Release

MyFax® today introduced additional enhancements to its Internet-based fax service that allow users to send and receive faxes using existing email accounts and the web. The award-winning service is now completely integrated with Microsoft® Office 2003 and IBM® Lotus Notes®. It also stores inbound faxes for 31 days on a secure server, more than doubling the previous storage time.
The integration with Microsoft Office 2003 allows MyFax users to fax directly from Microsoft Word®, Microsoft Excel®, or Microsoft PowerPoint® using a single button rather than having to first open Microsoft Outlook® as in the past. This direct fax capability helps users save time while simplifying the process.

MyFax customers using Lotus Notes also now benefit from tighter ties. The MyFax for Lotus Notes application allows Lotus Notes users to send electronic faxes while maintaining a detailed log entry for each sent fax. Billing codes can be entered and used for charge back purposes, and faxes can be sent with a cover page. Those who have tried the beta version are already seeing the benefits.

"After reviewing nine fax solution providers, MyFax came out a clear winner in the features and flexibility that we needed," says David Marcus, Director of Information Systems, Fortune 500 Company. "We had a variety of unique needs spanning everything from occasional home office users to mission-critical payroll timesheet collection. Upon deploying the solution we realized the need for a tool with specific parameters that would help simplify the delivery of outbound faxes. MyFax jumped on the opportunity to help us and with input from my users created a simple and powerful tool for sending faxes through our existing Lotus environment, while also providing accounting with the reporting necessary to handle our interdepartmental chargebacks."

Additional features of this upgrade include:

- Increased online storage of faxes. MyFax now offers 31 day internet storage of inbound faxes, more than doubling the "safety net" for retrieving old faxes. Even if a user deletes a fax from the email inbox, it can be retrieved online for up to a month.
- Increased File Support for outbound faxing, including:
-    Microsoft Visio files with .vsd, .vss, .vst, .vdx, .vsx, or .vtx extensions.
-    Microsoft Snapshot files (.snp)
-    MHT files.
-    A new Service Level Agreement, intended for contracted MyFax enterprise customers, guarantees the delivery of faxes within five minutes thereby eliminating any potential delays for incoming or outgoing faxes.
