Since its launch in December 2004, driveinsurance.com, has helped independent agents and brokers across the country grow their auto insurance business by connecting them with consumers who've turned to the Internet in their search for auto insurance. Now, the Drive Web site has received the "Standard of Excellence" WebAward from the Web Marketing Association (WMA) for outstanding achievement in Web site development. The WebAwards, the premier annual Web site competition that names the best sites in 96 industries, are produced by the WMA which was founded in 1997 to set high standards for Internet marketing and Web site development on the World Wide Web.

The WMA judged more than 2,300 Web sites from 35 countries that were entered into the 2006 competition. Each site was assigned three or more judges from a panel of independent Internet experts and evaluated on seven criteria including: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting, and ease of use.

The judges scored Drive's Web site, www.driveinsurance.com, above the industry average in "interactivity," "design," "content" and "copywriting." One judge said the site "…creates a positive interactive environment for the target audience; navigation is easy to use and fairly consistent."

The driveinsurance.com Web site gives independent agents an opportunity to use the Drive brand to promote their agencies on the Internet through the Web site's "Find an Agent" and "Get a Quote" functions. At the same time, it helps consumers who want to experience the personal service and advice of an independent agent to find an agent, get a fast, free auto insurance quote and - if they like the quote - send it to the agent in the form of a referral. Customers can also take advantage of secured access to their Drive policy to view coverages, make routine policy changes, view and print ID cards and other documents, view claims information and more.
