Notable Solutions, Inc. (NSi), the leading developer of distributed content capture workflow solutions announced today that they will fully support Sharp's Open Systems Architecture (Sharp OSA).
The new AutoStore 4.6 supports Sharp devices through OSA, which provides for seamless connection to network applications via the MFP. Through the use of AutoStore's centralized workflow management system, supported Sharp devices can deliver scanned documents directly into business workflows as well as send documents to basic destinations such as email, Fax, Shared Network drives and Home directories.

"With the new integration supporting Sharp OSA, users can simply click on the panel of the device and scan away. There is no longer a need to have a PC sitting next to the copier or the need to know complex release scripts. All one does is simply click and scan."

•   Meta-Data input at panel
•   MAPI email integration (Outlook Sent Folder)
•   Send-to-Me (based on Authentication)
•   Send-to-Folder with XML (Meta-Data)
•   Single click scan to most document management systems

AutoStore, along with OSA offers the flexibility to capture and process documents, along with the security features that aim to ensure information accuracy and accountability while increasing staff productivity. Through the use of AutoStore, documents can be captured from Sharp or other MFPs/Copiers, desktop applications, emails, faxes and many other sources. Once captured, the documents are processed using one of AutoStore's many advanced process components such as OCR, Barcode recognition or Forms Recognition. Finally, documents are indexed and routed into existing business applications or databases, all with just a single click.

Sharp OSA is a development platform that turns an MFP into a gateway for document-based business communications by integrating the device with network-based applications. It allows businesses to connect their MFPs with a wide range of enterprise applications, including document management applications, reporting functions and programs developed internally. The result is a truly customizable MFP that can be designed to meet virtually any business need.
