I doubted it.

It just sounded way too easy.

These ''make money from home with no work, while you sit around in your pajamas all day...'' schemes drive me crazy!

Come on! We are NOT that stupid. We all know we have to work hard at our 40+ hour per week J-O-B to get ahead, right?

I admit it. I've looked around at business opportunities on the internet. In fact, I looked for 6 months straight.

I know people that were making a large (and I do mean huge) amount of money working online so I know it can work IF you have the right product. IF you build the right website. IF you market it just right with 7 pieces of absolutely necessary (and very expensive) software. IF you join the right membership...blah..blah...blah.

Those are way too many IF's. I just couldn't seem to hit on the ''right'' combination of product or method or whatever to make it work.

So when my brother, Jim, called me and asked my opinion on this new ''Domain Profiteer'' system I told him it was probably just junk like the rest of the ''get rich quick'' stuff out there. I told him I'd try to take a look at it that night but, honestly, I totally forgot about it.

Well, Jim called me exactly one month later to the day (as he so rudely reminded me) to tell me that he had decided to purchase Domain Profiteer and had been using it for the past 3 1/2 weeks.

I was getting ready to say ''I told you so'' when he interrupted me to tell me that he had already made $1000.

I didn't believe him so I made him email me a copy of his bank deposit.

Sure enough. There it was: the ugly truth. In print. $1000 profit in 3 1/2 weeks! For buying an expired domain name and selling it!

I consider myself an educated person. Getting scammed numerous times online taught me not to jump on just any opportunity and to read between the lines in all the hypey sales letters.
