It's difficult to talk to three people at the same time. Your head keeps swiveling around, then finally uncorks itself and falls down. In this case the three people I am trying to talk to are Ehsaan, Loy and Farhad of Dance Masti fame.
The trio also go by the name of Instant Karma and are best known for the revival/remix hits "Bahon Mein Chali Aao", "Dil Kya Kare", and the 60s styled spoofy video "Saamne Yeh Kaun".

And now they're back with Dance Masti…Again a compilation of popular Bollywood tracks that have been spiced up with generous helpings of Instant Karma masti.

Ques : How did all this Dance Masti start?
Farhad: Many years ago I was in an HMV store in London when I chanced upon the Bally Sagoo album Bollywood Flashback, which contained the hit track "Chura Liya".
I was toying with the same idea, which I then bounced off Ehsaan and Loy. The first song the three of us worked on was "Dil Kya Kare" and well that's how the dance masti began!

Ques : How do you guys select the songs?
Farhad: We just choose great songs…
Ehsaan: Unfortunately we don't have too many great songs these days.
Farhad: Yeah, it's not how they used to be…we don't have any monster hits.

Ques : And why do you think we don't have great songs any more?
Ehsaan: I think tastes have changed…
Loy: With so many mediums, TV, internet etc I think we are all exposed to a lot very fast.
Farhad: For one, I think those boots are really large to fill, plus producers don't let you do what you want to. They say yeh lo Macarena, iska hum ko version chahiye.

Ques : What are your favourite songs on Dance Masti…Again?
Ehsaan: While we like all of them, I think we have a preference towards the ballads, basically the first half of the CD with songs like "O Meri Soni," "Yeh Sama".
The masses will go for the club hits like Khaik Ke Paan", "Jaanu Meri Jaan" and "Dum Aa Dum".

Ques : Is there going be a video out soon?
Farhad: Actually we were thinking of a XXX video, or since the three pink ladies one is already out we might do one with 3 transvestites, heavy breathing and all…
But seriously, the first video will combine the songs "Aaja Piya" and "O Meri Soni".

Ques : Do y'all change the lyrics of the songs?
Loy: We might add some english words or add a bridge. It's like a film within a film, like a song within a song. But 99% of it remains the same.

Ques : Any Bollywood soundtracks you guys are working on?
Ehsaan: We (he and Loy) just did Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai, which is a very teeny boppy track and we hope people like it.

Ques : What about producing some originals? Are you guys doing that?
Farhad: We've thought about it and maybe we will soon.
I also think there's a great market for Bollywood melodies sung in english, in the international markets you know.

Ques : Why should people buy Dance Masti…Again?
Farhad: Well it's a great album, and we're hoping the 7 lakh people who bought the previous 2 albums, will buy into this as well. It's like the continuation of the saga. Its like watching Star Wars, you have to watch all episodes.
So you have to have all the three Dance Masti albums!
