Let’s say you came across a large sum of money, be it either a lottery win or an inheritance. What’s the first thing you’d do with it? Buy a new car? A new house, maybe? Or perhaps you’d just wish to add a few touches to your existing one. Whichever of the latter you decide to choose, your small fortune will disappear faster than you realize how foolish you’ve been. The only thing you’ll have afterwards is a bitter taste in your mouth and a thousand ideas of how you could’ve made it last longer.
The solution to your problem? Don’t hurry to the stores to buy everything you’ve ever wanted. If you really want to take advantage of your money, there’s only one logical thing to do: invest it. The best way to do so? Either deposit the money in a bank, or try your luck with the stock market. Of course, there’s always a risk of losing that money, yet the same applies if you spend it. Who’s to stop a thief from helping himself to your new car?
What you do with the money also depends largely on your personality. If you’re cautious, patient and are afraid to lose your money, then the bank is the right choice for you. Though it offers relatively little interest, keeping your money in a bank account always gives you a sense of stability, and the only thing you really need to worry about is the bank declaring bankruptcy, which can sometimes occur with newly created ones.
On the other hand, if you’re willing to gamble a bit, in order to get more profit out of your investment, then the broker nearest to you is the person you want to see. Owning shares in a company gives you a dual source of income: first of all, a certain percentage of the company’s yearly profit, and secondly, the profit you earn from selling your shares when they reach a certain price (should you choose to do so). Still, no matter how tempting a certain company is, be sure to buy shares in two or more, so you always have an insurance policy, should one of them have financial troubles. Remember, anyone can obtain a large sum of money, but making it last until your next one is what makes you successful.

Although poetry is my first choice, having a collection of unpublished poems to account for that, I now write free articles for websites
