Meet Bhupinder Bhindi started singing in the 70's in chatham(kent), also being a songwriter, his first written song was sung by narinder biba & ranvir rana when he was very young. In 1978 Bhindi approached by satwant tak joined quallander group as lead singer.
By the late 70's bhindi sung a duet album with the legend narinder biba(re released in u.k in 1986), and started touring up and down the u.k.(& india) in 1981 Quallander group gave pateya botle ne which was a huge hit. The whole group- bhindi, satwant, biri gill, debbi and others kept up the regular live shows( shows with mohinder kaur bhamra, a s kang, alaap group).

In 1982 quallander changed its name to heera, kumar joined and year on heera group also welcomed dhami. In 1983 they releaesed album called 'bhabie tey nanaan nachdi' music by C.C Ahuja( song pind de mundeya te was popular) in 1985 jaghwala mela was released and around that time bhindi stopped singing due to health problems. but bhindi never gave up writing songs. mela group, heera group, azaad, holle holle, Anmol, Balbir Bittu, K deep & jagmohan kaur, raga kaka, etc all sung his songs.
In 1993 'tere nakhera ne town moh le sara' from the film yaaran de yaari picked up a few awards.
