My Travel Tips 2
Publish Date : 11/2/2007 9:56:00 PM   Source : Travel and Hotels News Onlypunjab.com
The good things about checking the exchange rate is actually to know how to maximize your money. There are places like Indonesia, Thailand, Australia where you can have your Malaysia's ringgit exchanged but bare in mind that not all places has Malaysian currency at their Money Exchanger.

IMPORTANT TIP 1.Change some of your money here or from the place that you are traveling even if you know you can always change it there for better exchange rate. That money will be used for paying cab, tips, buying food and may be hotel deposit if they don't accept credit card on your first day trip.

IMPORTANT TIP 2. Familiarize yourself with the currency converter or exchange rate. The sooner you get used to the conversion, the easier for you to travel and shop.

Check the weather forecast and season of the destination

I have taken this for granted when hubby and I went to India in 2005 for our second honeymoon. It was my mistake. I have forgotten all about the monsoon season until we have everything ready. I have only contacted my friend at the last minute when I need his help to book us a hotel. He reminded me to bring umbrella. I asked "why la". Umbrella would be the last thing I want to put in my luggage back during my travel. He explained about India having its monsoon season in June. I have never brought an umbrella to any travel destination until we went to India. You can go to http://weather.yahoo.com/ or go to the website of places that you plan to visit.

Note that summer does not mean you don't have to bring your favorite cardigan or jacket. Always bring one piece as weather nowadays are very unpredictable. When I went to New York last June,2007, it was supposed to be a summer vacation but it was not a summer at all. I could be freezing without my jackets. It was raining the first two days and was very cold.

IMPORTANT TIPS :

a) Australia is best to travel during spring time.

b) Avoid monsoon season if you go to India or other places with similar season.

c) Avoid USA in the summer unless you are interested to go during the summer sales. It's really hot especially in Florida.

d) Avoid Disney during summer as you will waste your time in the long queue.

e) In short, always check the weather and season when you travel and plan accordingly.

IMPORTANT TIP 2: Grand Canyon is best view at the end of winter season. Apart from that, you can still get the winter season deal, 50% of the initial price. I paid US$150 instead of US$300 in 2004.
