1. How can my family and I play with the dolphins at SeaWorld?
We all love seeing the dolphins at SeaWorld Adventure Park, but how we have an up-close, hands-on experience? SeaWorld offers a great opportunity to play with the dolphins through the Trainer for the Day and Dolphin Interaction programs. Another exciting option is to head to Rocky Point Preserve where you can feed and play with with the dolphins without even getting wet! And don't miss the classic Dolphin Discovery show; it's a hit for kids from two to ninety-two!
2. How can I spend more time with Shamu?
SeaWorld Adventure Park now offers even more fun with America's most famous whale! You can see Believe, the sensational new Shamu Show, or Shamu Rocks, the new rock-and-roll extravaganza starring Shamu! For even more time with Shamu, the Dine with Shamu and Breakfast with Shamu experiences bring you closer to the killer whale than you've ever been before!
3. How can I see the secrets of Sea World Adventure Park?
To see a side of SeaWorld that few people have ever seen, sign up for one of the many fun tours that SeaWorld offers. The Behind-the-Scenes and Animal Spotlight tours are just two of many adventures that await your family at SeaWorld! To purchase tickets for this memorable experience, head to SeaWorld.com
4. How can I get the best view of San Diego without leaving Sea World?
You can see beautiful San Diego without ever having to leave the park! Take SeaWorld Sky Tower 265 feet above the ground to see one of the most spectacular views of the city, or ride the SeaWorld Sky Ride across dazzling Mission Bay for a moment to rest and take in the sights.
5. I want something to eat, but I don't want boring theme park food. Where should I go? And what about souvenirs?
Don't worry! SeaWorld has a variety of restaurants to please even the pickiest eaters. You can go to Mama Stella's for a slice of pizza or a dish of eggplant parmesan, or head to Calypso Bay Smokehouse for some of the best barbecue around. Top it all off with a fresh baked cookie at the Plaza Bakery! As for souvenirs, great shops are scattered throughout the park so you can get that much-coveted stuffed Shamu or a fun dolphin t-shirt.
6. How can I take a break from walking around while keeping the kids busy?
If you need a break from walking and your kids are still going, head over to Shamu's Happy Harbor where you can watch your kids have the time of their lives at an ocean-themed playground that will make memories. For adventurous parents, climb the cargo nets and wriggle through the tunnels alongside your kids!
7. When is the best time to visit? How long should I spend at SeaWorld?
SeaWorld is great for the family all-year long, but some of the shows, including Cirque de la Mer, only play during the summer months, and if you want to sit in the Splash Zone at the Shamu show, you probably won't want to go in the middle of winter. It is San Diego, but it can get a little chilly. You can see all of SeaWorld in about a day, but if you want to spend even more time getting to know your favorite animals, you can upgrade to a multi-day ticket as well!
8. Where is the best place too cool down from the hot Southern California sun?
What a better way to cool down than to head to the Wild Arctic and visit polar bears and walruses, or to the Penguin Encounter where you can watch penguins in their native habitat? If you're longing to take a break in an air conditioned building head over to R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse 4-D where you will be a part of a thrilling multi-sensory experience away from the sun.
9. Is SeaWorld Adventure Park just about whales and dolphins?
No! One of the most popular shows at SeaWorld is Clyde and Seamore's Risky Rescue, an adventure where Clyde and Seamore, your sea lion friends, save the day. Or you can attend the Pets Rule show where your average household pets do not-so-average tricks!
10. How can I make my vacation educationally enriching?
If your kids are out of school for your vacation, that doesn't mean that they shouldn't learn something! Before your trip, your little tykes can learn all about the animals you'll see by visiting the SeaWorld website. Then, when you are at the park, you can ask your kids to tell you all that they've learned. What a great way to get them interested in what they're seeing!
